We had heard all of the news about stucco and mold issues in our town and surrounding areas, but we had never thought in a million years that our three year old home would be one with an issue as well. We believed the myth that this kind of thing only happens to older homes. Unfortunately, we were wrong! Occasionally, I would notice some modest window leaking, and then my husband had noticed some black staining on the stucco under our windows. It looked like dirt from the rain to me, but he had thought that we should keep an eye on it. A few months later, we noticed that the staining was getting worse. Ironically around the same time, we had received a postcard about stucco remediation from Apex Constructors that really hit home. I told my husband that we should call and have it looked at just in case. Shortly thereafter, we had a consultation with Brian Jarratt from Apex Constructors. He told us that the staining was a tell-tale sign of a mold and moisture issue. A couple of days later, Apex performed an inspection and found the damage and the cause, and we couldn't believe what was living behind our stucco...black mold!
Fortunately, the damage was caught just in time before it had resulted in more extensive damage. We promptly scheduled remediation. Brian and his team were absolutely fantastic! They explained the whole process to us in detail and also answered any questions that we had had. They were very professional and thorough and took great care in making repairs to the cause of the issue and the damaged areas and returning our home's stucco to its original state. Furthermore, they made sure that we were not inconvenienced in any way. Surprisingly, the entire remediation was quick and easy. (I had thought that it would take months to fix, and that was certainly not the case!) As for the cost of this service , it was a lot less than I had anticipated. We couldn't ask for a better stucco remediation company and highly recommend Apex Constructors for this type of work!
P.S.- I was so impressed with the quality of their work that while they were there, I jokingly mentioned that they could start renovating my master bath when they were finished with the outside of the house. The next day, I had a price...a great one in fact! And, they were able to start and finish my beautiful master bath in record time, since they were already there. Now that's convenience! Many thanks to Brian and Apex Constructors! We started out with an ugly problem and ended up with a beautiful master bath and a beautiful home again!
